I’ve had a sickness bug just coming up for 3 days, stomach cramps are horrendous haven’t really eaten and haven’t taken medication because of this... trying to avoid having a hypo - I take dapagliflozin, my latest bg is 15 I’m classed as well controlled by my Gp normally. Is this level ok being that they are closed tomorrow am I ok to just ride this bug out....

The general advice is to continue taking medication with any infection, as infection increases insulin resistance. What are you eating?

Not really eaten anything, managed a slice of toast today but can’t really stomach any

We shouldn't advise you on specific medical matters but there are a high amount of hospital admissions because diabetics haven't taken their diabetic medication when ill and their BG levels have gone too high but also I appreciate your concern about hypos if you are not eating. I would really suggest that you phone 111 with your latest BG level so that you can speak to somebody medically trained. Please let us know how you get on.
