Hi Indigo, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your readings. If you need any support or want to talk anything through just give our helpline a call on 0345 123 2399 or email helpline@diabetes.org.uk. Take care, Josie DUK.

Hi Indigo Moon and welcome.

Sorry to hear your levels have risen recently. Yes we can all relate to how frustrating that is!
How do you normally manage your diabetes ie. diet and exercise and or medication and if so which one(s).
Have you had problems managing your levels pre Covid vaccine because many of us have had problems since having our jabs, but if this has been a slow steady progression which predates that then obviously something else is going on..... like perhaps your diet has slipped a bit during the pandemic and/or you haven't been as active which has been another common theme causing problems. Or it may be that you were not actually Type 2 in the first place, but possibly a very slow onset Type 1 which is now coming to a head and needing insulin therapy to control it. If you are on the slim side and quite active, that latter might be more likely.

Anyway, I hope you find the forum as helpful in providing you with knowledge and support as I have over the past couple of years and please ask if there is anything you don't understand or want help with.

Hi Indigo Moon, welcome to the forum.

It's great to have you here. I was going to ask whether anything has changed but Barbara has provided some really good prompts above that may help to look into this.

That's the challenge with this condition, it can change along with our lifestyle so a new approach is needed.

We've got a wealth of info on the site so do have a look around if you get the chance and please do ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to the forum @Indigo Moon

Do you take medication for your diabetes? And have you been able to have a checkup recently, with an HbA1c? (this has been tricky for many with the pressure the healthcare system has been under)

How high is very high? Are you monitoring your levels at home with a blood glucose meter?
