Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hello, I just joined the forum. I am 62 year old male from Swansea,South Wales, I have had type 2 diabetes for around 20 years and also suffer from angina. Apart from that I`m great 🙂

Welcome to the forum @Alicefan1

Glad you have found us!

How have the 20 years of diabetes treated you so far? Do you take medications to support your diet and exercise?

It can be very helpful to have a group of people to share experiences with who instinctively ‘get it’, and while the precise details of all of our diabetes shenanigans will all be very slightly different, we have so many things in common, and a shared desire to keep BGs pottering along more or less in range, while also balancing ‘having a life’ 🙂

Hello @Alicefan1 and welcome from me as well.
There are many years of experience and knowledge on the forum, and I hope that you will find it useful.
Good to see you are already joining in with a question. I don't know the answer to that one, but I'm sure there will be others along that can help.
.... and big congratulations on your weight loss.

HI, and welcome to the Forum. Or should I say Croeso?

Always good to have a fellow countryman join. Although I live in Berkshire I'm Llanelli born and bred. Lived in Swansea for a couple of years, too - West Cross and Oystermouth. I have two sons who are ardent Swans fans. Although they are a mix of Welsh, Irish and English it seems their Welsh genes dominate.

I know Jacks and Turks aren't supposed to get along but I'm sure we'll be fine.

Martin
Hi Martin, no I don’t mind Turks 🙂 I think the Swans are in big trouble with the American owners they have . If you are missing anything from home (cockles, lava bread, welsh cakes) give me a shout.
