I Learnt Such Alot And We Really Had A Great Laugh. If Only I Had Been Aware Of The Thingswe Discussed When I Was A Young Twenty Year Old I Dont Think I Would Have Had So Many Challenges In My Life And Ignorance Is Not Bliss! Hope You All Take Part If You Get A Chance.

Hi Julie, and welcome! It's a shame that you've had to wait so long to do a DAFNE course - but great that you got so much out of it!🙂

Would that be sliced bread equal to 1.5CPs per slice....!! 😛

Couldn't agree more, I did dafne just under two years ago and found it to be a fantastic experience, utterly life changing and would recommend it to everyone.

I still find myself really missing the opportunity to put my reading up on the ohp for the group to look at!

Welcome to the site.

I agree. DAFNE really changed my life. I do feel though that the things I was taught should have been taught a lot earlier. It seems really obvious to me that if a condition is dependent on daily management, the best thing to do is to give the person power to change their own food intake and medication and manage it themselves, with the medical team in a supporting role. Instead of that, for years I was on a restricted regime controlled by the doctor and I wasted years and damaged my body in rebelling against that.
