Hello @emab how are you this evening? Welcome to the forum🙂 I know I am T1 but we have similar problems associated with the big D. My HbA1c was 156 on diagnosis (DX) but within 3 months got it down to 48, I was able to do this from following the advice on the forum. Today I am a steady 38/9, my friends on the forum who I follow religiously with their diet control have enabled me to take control due to a low carb high fat LCHF regime, I have to say most are T2, It doesn't suit all but it is a start, feet pain, tingly toes, pain in lower legs, welcome to the club, hopefully yours will gradually disappear, won`t happen overnight. Sadly for me and quite a few forum members feet will always be a problem, blood sugar control is crucial although strong medication is usually parallel with it if it becomes a problem, hopefully yours will dissipate into the realms of non-existence. As said above we do not know without self testing so make sure your DSN (Diabetic Specialist Nurse) know your needs for self testing. Please come back to the forum and let us know how you`re appointment went, any other questions hey we are here for you.🙂
