Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1.5 LADA
Hi everyone..
Diagnosed as type 1 twelve years ago (aged 47) then had the diagnosis changed on my records to type 2 a year after that initial diagnosis, now twelve years on, I am being told the type2 was a mis-diagnosis and I am type 1 (or maybe type 1.5).

So I am hoping to be able to get this under better control with this new diagnosis, had some insulin changed and now have a libre in my arm. Maybe, hopefully, I dunno.. it is never black and white is it. I am sure there are folk here with a better understanding of this than me.. I'll be pestering you guys with questions probably, so apologies in advance. ;-)

Hi Paul. Absolutely no need to apologise, it’s what we’re here for. Ask away and remember, no question is too silly.

Hello Paul. It sounds as though you’ve been having rather a time of it.
Ask all the questions you need to about diabetes and we’ll do our best to help.
A little more info would help us. What insulin’s or other diabetes meds are you on.
