Hi Andy, welcome to the forum 🙂 Have you been diagnosed long? What are you doing to try and control your diet? Please let us know if there is any way we can help! 🙂

Hi and welcome to the forum. Tell us a bit about yourself and let's see if we can be of help :D

Welcome from a T2 one year in. Me too.

Hi andy666 welcome to forum

Hi and welcome to the forum Andy666

I am trying to eat sensibly, but am having difficulty with portion control, and snacking.
Probably the best approach then would be to replace the carbs on your plate with more of something else e.g. less potato and more green veg 🙂 Snacks can be something like nuts or cheese - protein, not carbs, or you might like to try some 85% or 90% cocoa-content dark chocolate, which is very low carb if you fancy an occasional sweet treat 🙂

Thanks for that, forgot to say that I have had type 2 diabetes for about 2 years, and am taking Metformin tablets -4 a day; I also find it difficult to exercise, as I get out of breath very easily.
