Very newly diagnosed and waiting for my appointment with the practice nursey to get told off for being overweight and sedentary🙄
So far I the only advice I have had is from reading forums and a variety of web pages lots of which conflict with each other so I am just winging it at the moment.
I am fully au fait with LCHF impact on BG levels so have resorted to lowering carbs to a much lower level than before (heading off to Lidls on Saturday for some protein rolls - gotta have my bacon butty on a Sunday morning 😉).
I had an affair with Atkins in the early 2000's so already know the tricks to lower carbs in meals. I lost 120lbs but sadly bought into the dangers of Atkins and switched to slimming world/weight watchers and watched my weight slowly creep up and up. Need to shed 60lbs to get to a comfortable weight again. I also need to get rid of carbs in my life - it would seem I do not tolerate them too well *sigh*

There - I have said it. I have a sweet tooth - in fact my fillings are done by Cadburys. I will need to kick that one into touch for the foreseeable future
No real questions for now - BG meter on order and apparently 'on its way to me'. Low carb recipe books dusted off and placed back on the bookshelf. So for now it is wait and see for the appointment on the 15th.
I did ask what my readings were and she said normal is 47 - yours is 74. Not really sure what that means so will hope to find out in the near future.
I will say thank you to all the contributors on here for all the great advice you give and the help you give to newbies - you are all legends.
