Type 2
I'm new on here. Been diagnosed as Type 2 last September and ready to find out more.

Welcome Heather! How has your care been since you were diagnosed. Are you on any meds? Do you have any questions? Feel free to ask away!

Welcome to the forum heather1 I'm just passing by at the moment, there will be other more experienced memebrs along later. The forum is a bit quieter today as a group of members are meeting up in London.

Hope you find the forum as useful as I do. I know you will find very friendly members to help with any questions. I don't have diabetes myself but look after my dad who has type 2. There is a lot of extremely useful info on this site and one of the admin/mods will have a few links to help you get started.

Thanks for your support I take 4 metformin a day and was doing quite well but the weight loss has stopped and it makes me eat more and think of food I need to get something back on track and soon!

Hi Heather, welcome to the forum; I was diagnosed last August so we're pretty close in terms of length of diagnosis. As previously stated the forum is quiet today but please ask as many questions as you need to; there is always someone who can help and the guys on this site are fabulous - its like a 2nd family. Amanda x 🙂

Thanks Amanda. I'm sure I will find it useful. My dietician is really good but I do feel I take up a lot of her valuable time. It's been quite a time for me as two months after diagnosis I had my appendix out so from never having an illness I feel I've never been out the drs surgery!

Welcome to the forum heather 🙂

Hi Heather and a warm welcome to the forum
