Hi Daisy, welcome to the forum
🙂 Unfortunately, it seems commonplace that people are often left to 'get on with it' and struggle with their diabetes management. Here, though, you will find many friendly and helpful people with a very broad range of experiences who will try their best to get you back to feeling good and confident about your blood sugar control

It's never too late to learn something new, and diabetes is far more complex than people are often led to believe. What you need to do is to work out how things work for you. I presume that, as you are on insulin, you have access to a meter and are prescribed test strips? Do you 'carb count'? i.e. do you match the amount of novorapid you inject to the amount of carbohydrate in your meals? If not, then I would recommend that you learn as this will give you much better control and flexibility.
