Welcome to the forum, hopefully you will pick up some tips and maybe a new way of looking at your diet as ideas have changed as to how important diet can be rather than adding more and more medication though some may still need some help.
Would you like to share a bit more information about how you manage your condition, what is your HbA1C and what if any medication as that will help people make appropriate suggestion and direct you to links that may help.
As long a you are only taking metformin or no meds then this link may give you a good overview and some menu ideas. It is based on the suggested no more than 130g carbs not just sugar per day. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/

Hello and I hope that the forum can help. The learning zone has a lot of useful information. I would like to echo gail2 about questions. Before I retired I used to to do a lot of presentations and I always used to tell the audience that there was no such thing as a silly question, just sometimes silly answers.

Welcome to the forum @Jali62

Sorry to hear you’ve been finding it difficult to manage your diabetes, but great to hear that you want to improve things, and reduce your glucose levels.

As others have suggested letting us know a little more about your current treatment plan (including any medication you are currently taking) and your most recent Hba1c check will help forum members tailor their advice and suggestions.

Hi @Jali62 and a very warm welcome from me too 🙂. We're a friendly bunch here and happy to provide help and support
