I got diagnosed as Type 2 in February as HBcA1 was 9.9 up from 6. Increase is due to steroids involved with cancer treatments. My GP put me straight onto Metformin which really didn’t mix and made me really unwell, she then tried deluglatide which again made me unwell. Now I’ve been referred to a dietitian while she decides what’s next . I had treatment on Friday and have 3 days of steroids to take so my levels are all over the place - 17.5 on Friday night and lowest this morning at 13.5 but I still have more steroids to take. The reader shows ketones present which I’m never sure what to do about this other than eat some carbs and drink water.
