- Relationship to Diabetes
- Type 1
Hi I’m a newbie, I was on holiday last June 2024.
On our way home I felt hungry, shaky, and angry but didn’t know why.
Days later I got more angry with everything and everyone especially my husband (I really felt sorry for him)
I did do a pin prick test from my father in law who is type 2.
It kept reading hi which I didn’t know what that me t so went and brought another one which then said the same.
Days later I got worse and rung 111 they told me to go to the hospital when I told them what I was reading from the pin prick, got to hospital they did another test and the next thing I knew I was rushed through to majors not knowing what was going on.
I had DKA and was kept in.
That was my start of diabetes, and 8 months later I’m still struggling with high levels, any help will always be appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
