Hi Leigh

Hi and welcome.

How long have you been diabetic and which insulin(s) do you use and how do you find using it?
Is there anything particular which brings you to the forum.... Some difficulty perhaps or just wanting to compare notes with others in a similar situation or something else?
Do feel free to ask if you have any questions or difficulties. We have a very broad range of experience here on the forum, so there is always someone who has a snippet of advice or wisdom for whatever issue people are experiencing.

Look forward to getting to know you better...

Hello
I’ve been diabetic for over 10 years. I was triggered by high doses of antipsychotics. These drugs raised my levels unnaturally high and caused sudden and huge weight gain. Through my recovery I have weaned off of all medication, lost the huge weight gain but the assault to my body has left nothing working to reduce my levels except insulin. Only been on insulin a couple of months. It works and I feel so much better physically but I’m not tolerating NovoRapid very well (separate post/thread)
Emotionally I’m struggling with this but I’m taking positive steps and have decided to re-enter therapy to deal with my feelings.
Thank you for the welcomes
Leigh

Welcome to the forum @Leigh1

Goodness, what a tough time you’ve been having. But glad to hear you’ve been on a process of recovery - we are always a work in progress really aren’t we. Sometimes a bit beaten up and knocked about around the edges, but perhaps more interesting and beautiful for that.

Good to hear insulin has been working for you. We have lots of folks who use Novorapid (including me!) who will be able to share their experiences with you.

Be kind to yourself, and hope the therapy sessions work well for you.

Let us know how things go 🙂
