Went into remission 18 months ago and my Type II Diabetes has suddenly returned it seems stronger than before - will need to relearn lessons from 2-3 years ago.
Well I guess it was I became less mobile as eventually I had to have a hip replacement and just after hip was getting back we went into the lock down and I was not going out much being over 70 and diet got less attention in the past 5 months. It was the Carbs I cut down and walked more. So I'll need to cut down the carbs again . I do eat a lot of fruit but will have to cut out bananas and stick to rasps and some oranges - luckily I love chicken but now back to backed potato rather than chips. And I still have my metre and it works after 2 years, Gosh the metre readings are 20-30 and I spent over a year on 5-6. Long way to go - mind you day 3 now.Hi philedinburgh, welcome back.
Do you know what went wrong?
Did you go into remission by cutting calories or by cutting carbs? Or some other way?
Excellent point @Madeline - just glanced at my 'in use' pot, prescribed and supplied last month - the expiry date on them is March 2021. Hence if they were obtained 2 years ago I reckon they stand a very good chance of not giving accurate results.
