Every time I go to see someone from the medical profession they tell me to eat normally and the drugs should do the job, from the consultant at the hospital to the diabetes nurse at my surgery. My meter tells me otherwise. I ate 4 small pieces of potato after the consultant told me to eat normally and my reading was over 20.
I personally find it hard to 'go against' medical advice and have thought long and hard about it, but the bottom line is, it is us that lives with this and we have to manage it as best we can mostly by ourselves.
Best of luck and a BIG welcome to the forum 🙂
