Hello. I was diagnosed this morning with type 2 diabetes. I've been put on Metformin. It looks like there is so much to learn. Its a little overwhelming at the moment

The hard bit is the diagnosis.

All I would say is you will probably be bombarded by ways to cope.
Don't jump into one, read the alternatives, and make a choice for your lifestyle.
But you can beat it.

Welcome! Good advice above, read as much as you can here to help you make your mind up, ask any questions you might have, we are a friendly bunch 😉

It is a lot to take in at the start. Just ask any questions that you have and read what you can on here. There is plenty of experience and support available from members.

Hi and welcome, I was diagnosed 6 wks ago and felt exactly the same. Surprising how much you can learn and start to implement in that time. Don’t rush things, you need to get things straight in your head first. This site will be a real help. I would urge you to ask anything at all.

Welcome. I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago after investigations into the loss of my baby at 16 weeks gestation. It’s such a lot to take in isn’t it?

There are plenty of experienced people here to give advice. I’m still learning myself but it is generally a supportive place and no question is a silly question.
