Ahh ok
Maybe I should use the other one ?
I have to contact Medisort when she bin is full , my nieces husband is type 1 he uses a pump and a patch but even he’s so sometimes it’s difficult to regulate the insulin, what’s your experience? Is that the better option?
I can't really help with that one as I am Type 2 dietary managed so no meds. I just put my lancets in the normal rubbish as they are no more dangerous than a pin and less dangerous than broken glass. I only use a new lancet when I have dropped it or lost it.

Both injections and pumps have their pros and cons. I wouldn’t worry about that now. I’d concentrate on getting your diagnosis confirmed and chase up your referral if necessary @Wendums60

I’ve had Type 1 for 30 years and have used both injections and pumps.

I think I recall people reporting they had had problems with the Sinocare monitor. Many people reuse the lancets many times. Often the problem with sharps bins is getting rid of them when they are full as many pharmacies don't take them back.
There are other options instead of returning full sharps bins to the pharmacy.
My pharmacy has never taken full sharps bins. They have no space.
In my area (and many others), the council waste collection are responsible for sharps.

It does very much depend on where you are as when I had one for syringes and needles from having clexane injections, the hospital that gave me the box wouldn't take it back but the pharmacy at the hospital where my daughter works do take them as they found that people were just dumping them around the hospital site.

There aren’t other options in every area. In my area the only way to dispose of used sharps bins is to return them to the pharmacy and fill in a ridiculous amount of personal details. The council have nothing to do with it here.
