Hello Guys. I'm type 1 and have been for over 15 years. Finding it hard with not working at the moment due to covid-19, would love to find out what people are doing to keep busy and also starting to try for a baby and need and would love and advice and help as possible, I have a very sweet tooth.

Welcome to the forum @clairey2k20

What work were you doing before this all started?
If you want to let us know how you manage your T1. MDI, pump, Libre, ...

If you are planning to get pregnant, have you discussed this with your DSN. As far as I know there are specialist teams that will work with you specifically on this, that you can be referred to. Some have been given access to Libre during their pregnancy and in some cases CGM.

I am as busy as ever, just not going out to do stuff. Zoom has enabled me to continue with book club, choir and singing lessons, and in this weather the ga4en has taken up a lot of our time. Dip into the thread How are you All Doing for news of what people are getting up to during this lock down.

I have injection and got a Libra sensor. What has helped me so much with lowering my bloods. Just finding it hard to get my hba1c down, has come down a lot just need it to be more.

spoken to my nurse and working witha team but just wanted first hand how others have coped with it.

Great news that you have Libre, that can really help you see what’s going on ‘between the dots’.

Have you tried the DTN Libre videos for hints and tips on using the information from Libre to improve BG outcomes?

Hope you can find a way to channel the time during lockdown into preparing for pregnancy - the targets for T1 mums are really challenging, but we have lots on the forum who have had beautiful bouncing babies 🙂
