Just wanted to say hello, have been diagnosed today with type 2 and put on metformin. Bit of a shock as I have had no symptoms... Cx
 
hi there cazscot and a warm welcome im in the same boat dignosed back in feb and on metformin ,have a browse around we are a nice bunch (honest) :D x

Me too Cazscot, I had no noticeable symptoms either... Until I collapsed and got carted off to the hostilepile that is. Welcome in, they're a great bunch in here.

Hi Cazcot - Sorry to hear about your problems.

The best way to get Type 2 sorted out is to start by cutting back on the carbohydrate - i.e. cereals, bread, potatoes, pasta and rice.
