Hello all... I'm Type 1 and have been for 30 years. I have never been controlled and I am now struggling more than ever to lose weight and bring my HBA1C down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you...

Hi @BB Love and welcome to the forum - sorry to hear you are struggling - there are many people here who can give great advice - what is your insulin regime (Injections or Pump/HCL) and what ones are you taking? Are you going too high, or too low? And do you use a CGM? (Sorry for all the questions!!)

Firstly @BB Love, welcome to the forum.
We have many T1's who I'm sure will be able to help/advise

Alan 😉

Hi @BB Love welcome to the forum
Just thought would welcome you, however I can’t offer much advice to you myself, because we are all different I’m Type 2, so best I leave the tips & advice your looking for to come from others
however,
one thing to remember on this fabulous & friendly forum
they say there’s no such thing as a silly question, pop along anytime & ask

Hello @BB Love and a very warm welcome from me too 🙂 . I've had the condition for over thirty years and although you must learn to live with it and manage it some days it can be a complete pain!. I've been using Libre 2 Glucose monitor and for me it's been a complete game changer. As mentioned above, it would be useful to know more about your regime.
I hope you find this Forum useful as there are lots of friendly members here to support you.

Welcome to the forum @BB Love

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with your diabetes. It can be such a confusing, contradictory, and downright irritating condition to live with :(

Feels like we may have been diagnosed around a similar time? I’ve got 30+ years on the clock too.

Have you ever been on a structured education course to help with your diabetes management?
