Hello, i was diagnosed with type 2, wrongly imo. fed up with people saying i'm too blame for type 2. I'm 5'6" and 9.5 st. I'm type 3C imo.

That is a scary blood sugar level! I think I got into the very low 20's very early on. When you say "they" have changed the rules, who exactly do you mean and do you have any literature to that affect? Does that mean that a "normal" type 2 can also receive Libra 2 on prescription? That's a massive move forward if it is and a massive cost to the NHS.

No they can’t. Some type 2s on multiple insulin injections a day can get libre but it depends where you live. My management is the same as a type 1 for instance but I’m recorded as type 2 and so paying myself £100 a month for libre.

The NHS, had to be on a waiting list though, but yes have it on prescription now, no literature, the doctor told me I was entitled to it now. And yes that was a scary blood sugar but I managed to take a picture of my fingerprick machine, which I still have, because nobody could believe I was still alive. I looked on Amazon and couldn't believe the cost, so don't know how you cope

Yes every area has to decide how they will apply/not the NICE guidelines, just how it works
