What have members found to be the best times of day for testing BSLs? Is there an optimum gap before/after eating or drinking? Also, how difficult is it to assess the effect of alcohol? Thanks for any help.

Hi and welcome to the forum 🙂
Are you self funding your test strips or do you get them on prescription?
To check the effects foods have on you, you should test before you eat, then again 2 hours after, ideally you are looking for no more than a 2-3mmol rise xx

Hi Welcome to the forum. Kaylz is right , to find out how the various carbohydrates affect us, as we’re all different in this. Test just before then two hours after starting to eat.
If you have a read of these it will help you know what your looking for
