Hi,
I have been diabetic since summer 1997.
Allegedly type 2, I was very poorly with a viral infection that felt like flu and was diabetic after it, I was not overweight, I did and still do, eat healthy foods, I keep moderately fit (worked as a lecturer in Outdoor Education), I started on insulin very soon after diagnosis. Retired 22 years ago.
My BG is erratic and for 25 years my diabetes team and I have struggled to control it.
My specialist started me on Freestyle Libre for a short trial (6 weeks), to see what is happening?
It has revealed some interesting data, we're still working on it. I'm hoping to get an extension on the Libre trial.
