Hello from a Newby!

Hi I am a Newby. My name is Steve and I live in north Devon. I have never been in a forum before. Steve
Welcome Steve, would you like to share a bit about how long you have been diagnosed and how you are managing your condition. People are willing to share their experiences and hopefully that will help other over any problems they may have. Knowing what your HbA1C, what medications you take and what dietary approach you have adopted will help people give appropriate suggestions.
Do look around the posts on the forum, some light hearted but others trying to address peoples concerns.

Hi, Il Steve and i live in a small town in North Devon. I have been diagnosed as a Type 2 but it appears that I had it for a long time without knowing about it. I went to the Dr for some tests and was quickly called back. I am type2 on insulin now and have been for over 18 years. My HBA1C is currently over 60, or 9 in old money. I have been steady and kept thing in single figures, you have probably worked out that I use the old method of hba1c.

I was originally on insulatard but I have been moved to Humulin. My diabetic nurse told me to stick to the same regime but that isn't working so I Will start upping my dose currently 58 units in the morning and another in the evening depending on the level.

Dose anyone else have difficulty with humulin?

I look forward to hearing your feedbacks.
