Hi, abalone. Are you newly diagnosed and how are you struggling? If you'd like to say a little more it helps everyone provide the support you require. As someone who is comparatively recently diagnosed, the forum is a wealth of information.

Hi and welcome from me too.

The more information you can give us the easier it is for us to make appropriate suggestions to try to help you.

The things it is useful to know are....
How long you have been diagnosed?
What if any medication you are using to help manage your diabetes?
Your most recent HbA1c reading if you know it?. This is the blood test result which is used to diagnose you as diabetic and is usually a number of 48 or more but it may also be expressed "in old money" as a %
Your BMI or an indication of whether you have much, any or no weight to lose.
Any other health conditions which might impact on your diet or diabetes or ability to exercise?

Is there anything partoicular you are struggling to understand or manage about your diabetes or are you just looking for moral support. Lots of members here have managed to change their lifestyle for the better since their diabetes diagnosis and feel fitter and healthier than they have in many years (myself included) so there can be positives to come out of it if you figure out how to tackle it in a way which is sustainable for you.
