This is a strange new world for me all of a sudden so your kind reassurances and advice are very much appreciated.

Welcome aboard! it's a very strange world we all inhabit now. Nearly five years on, I still sometimes feel I've got a very tenuous toehold on the learning curve/cliff.

Welcome from a fellow T2 whose 17 months in.

Just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes just before my 65th birthday. Bit of a shock but not wholly unexpected. Whose going to drink my red wine now (lol) ??? Need to lose weight and get fitter but hate gymnasiums so any tips gratefully received.
Hi rob and welcome! ive found it really easy to cut back on alcohol and i was a massive bing drinker i feel so much better for it too! I go to the gym but not all that fussed about it so i mix it up instead of always going to the gym i will go on long walks, play tennis, bike riding, anything really that gets you moving is good! Ive lost 2 stone in 2 months and feel awesome! Good luck and hope you beat it! 🙂
