Hi, and welcome to the Forum. You've come to the right place so please feel free to ask questions.

Welcome to the forum, there is information in the Learning Zone about the basics of Type 2 diabetes but how differnt people manage their condition can vary and is very individual. That can depend on how far they are into the diabetes zone so how much above the threshold for diagnosis of 48mmol/mol, that is what their HbA1C is, whether they have been prescribed medication and if they need to lose weight.
This link also explains a low carb approach that many find successful but whether it is suitable may depend on the above. https://lowcarbfreshwell.co.uk/
If you would like to say a bit more about your husbands diagnosis then it will help people make appropriate comments.

Welcome to the forum @Bethanmai

How long has your husband been living with diabetes?

Sorry to hear he is living with some complications from his diabetes? if you are happy to share, let is know a little more about his experiences.

As @Leadinglights says, the Learning Zone (the orange tab in the main menu) is packed full of informative bite-sized modules.

You might also find Gretchen Becker’s book T2 Diabetes, the first year, helpful - which you can work through gradually and will give you a solid starting point.
