Diabetes UK

Know Diabetes. Fight Diabetes
Staff member
Hello everyone,

Some of you may have seen a new member recently logged in - @Emma Diabetes UK

I hope you'll join me in welcoming Emma to the forum. She is a fellow colleague at Diabetes UK and will be taking over from me in answering any questions you have for Diabetes UK and offering her support to the commuinty. She's no stranger to the Forum, and has been on here in the past....but I will let her introduce herself and give her story :D😛

For those of you who know me, I've been on here for the past year supporting @Northerner and the moderators. I'll still be around, but will be taking more of a back seat. I have taken on a new role as Online Support Forum Manager so will be focusing on making sure all the nuts & bolts are screwed in and everything is ticking along just nicely! 🙂

So - hello Emma and welcome to the forum! :D

Hi Emma.

Hi everyone!

Thank you for the wonderful introduction @Hannah DUK 🙂 As Hannah already said I'm sure many of you have noticed me lurking around reading up on posts and familiarizing myself with everything again.

I've used the forum over the years for my own personal use, and I know that a lot of my friends and family have been on here looking for answers to questions they had about my life with diabetes. It's a real pleasure to be working on the other side of things and actually being able help and contribute to a forum that has been so important and useful to myself and others!

I'm very excited to be taking over from Hannah with the day to day questions about Diabetes UK and anything else that comes my way :D I very much look forward to getting to know each of you and learning more about your stories and experiences through the forum!

Hello Emma. 🙂

Hello Emma - all the very best in your new job

Hi Emma and welcome 🙂

Hi Emma - and what a pleasant change, a real PWD working for DUK !

Are you actually the first? I know I asked some years ago and the people leading whatever session I was attending didn't think there were any.

Hello Emma,
I am also new, but I am volunteering with Diabetes UK for more than 3 years now. I am actually running a local support group.
I still want to welcome you to this interesting and informative forum 🙂

Welcome Emma
