Relationship to Diabetes

yes, thank you to all who have posted over the years. Those posts have helped me over the last 6 weeks understand this thing called diabetes. Diagnosed during a visit to the opticians so already had 2 shots of Eylea in one eye and laser in the other. Toes are numb at the tips. Probably been diabetic for at least 5-7 years they recon ... I'm a bloke .... if I ignore it it will go away ! ... (that stratergy didn't work chaps)
Self test my BS about 5 times a day and I think I'm in the 10's at the moment but still in the testing food stage and inc metformin dose ... one more increase to go before 2g limit reached.
What else have I learn't from people here .... buy the book and use it, I've junked the "bread" (Burgen man now) but breakfast, oh yes, every day bacon and eggs.. lost weight, BMI below 30 (29.97 .... its under 30 ... hahaha). I like to think I'm under tall not overweight.
So once again thank you for your help.

Hi @105, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sounds like you are making excellent progress, well done for applying yourself so successfully 🙂 Please do let us know if you have any questions or concerns 🙂 Hopefully, now you have been diagnosed and acting on it, the problems you have been experiencing will stabilise or possibly improve 🙂
