Hello all - I am a 73 year old male who was first diagnosed in 1966 (I even have the Gerald Nabarro medal to prove it!). My wife and I moved to France to live a few years ago and we enjoy our life here. I take insulin 4 times per day and have generally kept well although I did recently have to have stents inserted in 2 arteries. Nil desperandum, and we are shortly off with the caravan to the south of France which is usually very pleasant in late summer/early autumn. I do not know if my experience of living with diabetes in the UK and France will be of interest or use to anyone else, but in any case it is always good to learn how others cope with the problems that arise. Best wishes to everyone on this site : DUK is a terrific resource for us all. Thank you to all the staff.
