Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
hello, i'm Will i was diagnosed with type 1 6 months ago. Been to see my consultant last week who is very happy that i seem to have the diabetes under control and have not had any hypos at all and my bg readings are all good.
Last year before i was diagnosed i paid for an hgv course (?2.500) but obviously now things have changed and i cant take the course, the DVLA said its more or less impossible because of my condition and recently revoked my c1/c1e class also my license is only a 3 year reviewable one meaning i can only drive a car now not the 7.5 ton/trailer licence. Wouldn't you know it the company i booked the course with are practically refusing to refund the money even though they have received a letter from my consultant saying i'm unable to take the course. PLEASE can anyone advise me?

Hi Will, welcome to the forum 🙂 Very sorry to hear how diabetes has got in the way of your plans :( Have you tried the Citizens Advice Bureau regarding the course?

Hi Will and a warm welcome to the forum
