Welcome @Robmb94 🙂 I’ve had Type 1 almost 30 years. Still waiting for the “cure in 5 years” they keep mentioning!

Hi Rob and welcome.

Not quite 3 years down the line with it myself. How do you manage yours.... MDI or Pump?
Which insulin(s) are you using?
Do you have Libre or other monitoring device?

Is there anything which brings you to the forum after 10 years? ie. needing support with something in particular or just wanting to compare notes with others in a similar situation perhaps? The forum is a goldmine of knowledge and experience so dig into it and feel free to add some of your own 10 years worth, so that we can benefit from that too.

I'm jealous of you @Inka - they never told me 5 years, it was always 10. If we use the cure for diabetes as a yardstick - the world ain't moved on very much in the last 50 years, has it! :D

Aw roight me aw babber! (from another Bristle born an bred)

Glad you’ve joined us 🙂

Anything in particular that prompted you to sign up?

Gert lush and it would just be nice to be able to make some diabetic friends lol, people who understand my struggles lol

First thing I want to say about your last comment is of course that a lot of us do since we all have our ups and downs - not only EDUAD. We're often so intent on continuing to lead an entirely normal life despite the T1 handle - that we entirely omit to remember that we ain't (normal) any more ! (Anyway who wants to be boringly normal!) So firstly try and be kinder to yourself - we all have a lot to cope with, don't we?
