Hi Claudia, welcome to the forum 🙂 What insulin are you using? Please let us know how we can help! 🙂I have been a type 1 diabetic for nine years. I have joined because Inam struggling with my levels etc and weight and anxiety. Hoping I will find some answers and support here
Also I find green tea can lower blood sugar levels but you should adjust your insulin aswell as drinking it as it may go too much low if you start off with a good sugar level before drinking it.
Ok thanks for your opinion but it works for me. Although I will say it's giving me nightmares at night and giving me hypos in think I can't drink it before going to bed.If the effect were that large it would surely be easy to experimentally verify, and yet WebMD's summary suggests most evidence doesn't show that.
I'd be inclined to treat it like I treat cinnamon: it's something I like adding to coffee (and sometimes other things), but I do it because I happen to like the flavour, not because it'll help lower blood sugar (which it probably doesn't).
you must be very susceptible to caffeine, I could go through 8 litres of fizzy juice a day without any effects of caffeine and certainly no overdose xI had a caffeine overdose once it was horrible but only because I drunk a whole 2 litre big bottle of sugar free Dr pepper in one day.
