The site looks rather retro because the navigation is not the instant this-is-what-you-came-see of contemporary websites, nor the white space separation which aids fast reading and assimilation.

It works well enough though if you spend time.

Just had a look at the site can't say I'd want to visit it again as far to many button clicks to find anything.

It's a blog run by a corporation which may or may not sell your data...

After running a couple of searches, I'm not sure about some of the "information" posted there - although there were at least no obvious scammers.

Reading the DRWF "What we do" statement, it looks to me as if they are just duplicating what is already done by Diabetes UK, and had been at that time for over 70 years (DUK was founded by H G Wells and R D Lawrence). What exactly is the point of DRWF?

I just had a look at the blurb for their weekend - it's expensive but in a top quality hotel just up the raod for me, so I thought I'd look.

Before committing myself to anything of this ilk - even if it's free! and this AIN'T LOL - I'd want to know what's on offer - is it worth me even going in the first place?

Nothing specific on the actual programme for the weekend at all. No details of who the presenters are, let alone what they may present.

So you can keep it !

They do some really good one day events with lots of speakers and very well-attended. I went to one in Southampton (where I met up with Mrs Mad Ronin!), and thought it was a good general programme covering a lot of topics and interesting speakers, all for a fiver, including lunch. They do others in different parts of the country, I think Hobie may have been to one oop North. They fund research and their slant as a charity is to promote not just diabetes care, but general care and living well 🙂

They're based in Hayling Island.

No, I don't work for them, but I do know people who do and they are very genuine and hard working people 🙂

p.s. I just looked at the details for the Weekend, and yes, it is very expensive! 😱
