I have been turned down for getting Gastric Balloon as my HBA1c reading was 85 in january. Been told i need to lower this asap. How can i do this.... HELP

The easiest way is to reduce the carbohydrate in your diet - and you will most likely lose weight too - if that is why you were having the balloon inserted in the first place then you can kill two birds with one stone.
I lost almost 50 lb without trying and a foot off my waist - the 'healthy' high carb diet had made me almost spherical when diagnosed with type two, so it was such a relief to go back to a sensible way of eating which made me feel well and energised.
My Hba1c was 91 at diagnosis and in 6 months I was at 42, and seeing normal blood glucose numbers after eating.
You might find that having a blood glucose meter will help you track your levels, so you can gradually reduce the after meal readings by reducing or replacing the high carb foods until you start to see normal levels.

Welcome to the forum @niamh123

Are you currently taking any medication to help with your diabetes management? How long have you been diagnosed?

Do you check your own levels around food to see how your body is responding to different meals and amounts / portion sizes of carbs?

Sorry about all the questions, but it might help other members to offer their tips and experiences to know the sorts of things you have already been trying 🙂
