After having an HbA1c of 70 in early March I'm amazed that my latest on 24th May has dropped to 39 !

Its been incredibly hard work over the last 3 months with the diet and exercise but getting a result like that is far better than I could ever had imagined, To say I'm over the moon is an understatement and makes the initial suffering well worth it.

That is great news. All your hard work has paid off. Well done

Brilliant news Rob and shows this can be turned around with the right kind of diet and effort! 🙂

Well done! It's always nice when hard work shows in your results.

Congratulations!

Fantastic news Rob, well done!

Rob, it is said that miracles never happen - I think you have proved that they do - in a roundabout way of course. Your constant determination to improve your health is to be admired and is a true example that it can be achieved with the right frame of mind. By following a diet that suits yourself - and an exercise regime that can sometimes be either painful when walking or gruelling when cycling - then I believe you have most definitely earned your excellent & amazing HbA1c result. Congrats & well done. x

Well done. Now that's a result.
Now I have to ask how long do you walk for per day. How have you found it for an exercise method.
I hated any form of exercise in the past and found I actually liked walking and can walk nightly up to 6 miles if not more now.

I was walking for an hour each morning and evening at normal pace, It did involve walking up quite steep hills each time though, Tend to walk and hour after breakfast and evening meal. Have had a lot of problems with my achillies and for the last month I've been cycling on flat ground, I try and do at least 10 miles a day again a monring and evening ride. Otherwise just cut out potato, root veg, bread, pasta and rice but do have the odd naughty moment, One thing I still do is have a daily beer or two but only German Wheat Beer not the English ale stuff or pub lagers as I cant stand them.

I can't cycle to save myself as I'm deaf in one ear and it causes balance problems. I'll stick to walking 🙂
Hope your Achilles heel sorts itself out too. It's my toes that burn for some reason I think I need another set of walking trainers.
My diet is low carb too and I try and keep it under 80g a day but if not I don't beat myself up over it. Oh and once a month I have a roast tea and all the trimmings and it's a brisk walk after not slumped in a corner sleeping like in the past. 😱

A huge well done, RobK...that's a brilliant result!😛 You must feel really proud of all your hard work. Good for you.:D

Great result RobK Well done! 🙂

Well done Rob, keep up the fantastic work.

Well done Rob
