My HBA1C is down to 37 from 112 from back in September when I was diagnosed. What do I need to do to maintain this and come off the meds and send my diabetes into remission?

Keep it at that level until this September unless they're doing your next HbA1c before that ie just maintain whatever you've done up to now. Why wouldn't you when it's obviously so good for your health? You may whish to re-introduce some foodstuffs, which is fair enough as long as you test religiously before and after to double check the effect on your BG.

Oh that is brilliant, well done.
I agree with Jenny. , keep at it till your next Hb1ac and see what your nurse says .

If you are one of the fortunate ones and do send it into remission, you still have to keep a close eye in things as remission doesn’t mean cured, just that its inactive , but it does mean that you may be able to increase or re introduce a few things.

Thanks. I mean I doubt things will ever go back to "normal" and tbh I wouldn't mind if they didn't i.e. the sugary stuffs, the junk, the late night binging on pizza and burgers etc etc. As long as I can live a normal and healthy life and achieve the things I still want to achieve e.g. earn more money, maybe go to medical school and become a doctor etc. then it's worth the sacrifices.

I wish you luck in all you want to achieve.

Not that long ago really, even we were telling people that T2 diabetes was fir life, then we noticed that the occasional forum member was able to come off medications and maintain good BG results , then their were those who were taken off the diabetes register , so maybe the cure in ten years that I was told at my dx back in the 90s is just around the corner.
