Well done for such a great result

Hi, Amazing results and I'm also hoping to get mine down with the low card and loads of exercise, My morning reading foir the last week in in the 8's but like you before and after meals it's down in the 5's or 6's most of the time, Keep at it and I'm sure you will achieve your goal soon.

Hi Bigbob - I have followed your example and have now reduced my HBA1C from 118 down to 47 in 3 months. So thanks for being a role model and showing how it is done. Eugh

Hi all,

Thanks to all of you for the support - and the low carb info - I don't join in discussions much but I read everything 🙂

I was diagnosed with t2 with a HbA1c of 118 and with very low carb in 3 months I've got it down to 37. Lost 3 stone.

I'm very pleased with that - I've still got another 3 or 4 stone to lose.

My Dr is very supportive of low carb and that really helps.

I can't seem to get my morning self test down - it's always 8ish. But about 2hrs after breakfast/dinner it's 5.X or 6.X

Is there anything I can do about that or will it just get better with more weight loss?

Thankyou!
Just catching up with this. When do you test your morning bgl bigbob? Do you wait until you're up? The best time to test your waking bgl is BEFORE you get out of bed. (Hang on to pee til after you've tested ~ if you can!) I find my bgl is lower when I test before I get up. Once your feet hit the floor, your bgl will elevate. Remember to take your meter to your bedroom each night and leave it on your bedside table. Also it's best NOT to test on your thumbs or index fingers ~ the nerves in these digits are sensitive and can be easily damaged. Good luck with your determination to lose even more weight. Do please keep us updated as to your progress, take care.
