I had an iron infusion 18 days before my Hb1ac blood test. Do you think that it make any change to my results? I have been very good and things have been going great. Then just as the test draws nearer, 9 days away, I get the most aweful tummy buy which sent bg's all over the place. Isn't it great how these things always seem to happen just before test is due. Last time I was 7.4, old money,and I was so hoping to have a much lower as I have worked so hard. Oh well I'll have to wait and see. Roll on next thursday. I will be gutted if it has risen. What do you all think?
 
I think one short period of illness probably won't have much impact. I don't know enough about the iron to know if that will have an effect, so perhaps something to discuss with the doctor when you get the result. I think that if you have been working hard then you will be rewarded with a good result! 🙂
