Hb1a and medication

I discussed with my GP after my last test. Initially he was keen to keep me on Metformin and then retest after six months with a view to stopping but I persuaded him to let me stop immediately and retest after 3 months. I would assume they will look for a normal level (below 42)
 
Congratulations on your reduced HbA1c!

I think there are have been a variety of approaches on the forum, some have felt happy to drop their medication earlier than others.

It‘s a good idea to chat things through with your GP, to make sure they are kept up to date 🙂
