Have you noticed a biscuit shortage?

I'm glad the Gingernuts are on their way back. Really missing my water biccies though.

Plenty of Bourbons and custard creams in Aldi and nicer than the Mcvities, never did like water biscuits (appropriate name though).

Ginger Nuts are too hard for me these days (Bottom denture, including the 4 front teeth!) but I actually find Tesco's 'Value' Bourbon biccies to be my favourites - after always buying premium brands my whole life previously!

But I do like a 'well done' Water Biscuit - lovely and crisp to complement the creamy texture of the cheese (all cheese, hard or soft is 'creamy textured' - well - so it should be!) Much prefer em to cream crackers actually, but don't mind ccs.

I rarely buy biscuits (because I know I'll just sit and pig them if there are any in the house!) but I can't say I've noticed a shortage, I do wander along the biscuit aisle in the supermarket and haven't noticed any gaps in the shelves!

Certainly plenty of biccies around here (Nottingham) especially my favourite dark chocolate Hob Nobs🙂

I've lost my taste for biscuits - recently threw out half a packet of chocolate digestives after realising I hadn't touched them for over 3 years... 😱 They were Mcvities, perhaps I should have held onto them if there's a shortage, might have been worth a bob or two! :D

No shortage round here but I try not to buy the ones I like (which is most of them!) They were selling a 2 pack of tescos choc digestives for £1 a couple of weeks ago. Oooh so tempting!

Me too Trophy, but I still have one sometimes for dunking. IMO, they're the only biccies that work when dunked.

I'm a digestive girl, or a malted milk.

We've had half empty shelves round here for months! No ginger nuts, no Bourbons, in either the main Lidl or Waitrose, or the local co-op. ( Lidl is my shop of choice, as they're half the price for what's obviously the same biscuit, if they both disappeared after the flood). I do like a ginger nut if I need a top up of sugar, and bourbons are my son's favourite. Custard creams, you can keep.

Many years ago I was in Moscow, under the old Soviet system. We took a day out into the countryside to visit Boris Pasternak's grave. It was in a very small village, where I was surprised to find a Co-op store! Apparently, the Rochdale revolution also influenced Russian society too, long before the Bolsheviks! 🙂 We went inside to discover that all the shelves were empty - the onlt things they had for sale were milk and tea! 😱 Definitely no biscuits! 😱

Chocolate digestives or hobnobs for me. You could have sent that packet to me Northerner although after 3 years they'd have probably gone a bit soft. :D

Nor shortages down here. I'm a very boring 'rich tea' fan

Sainsbury's had a notice on the shelf about a shortage of McVities due to the floods
