Just got a call from DN to say I am now in remission and to stop Metformin.

Private HBA1C done a few weeks ago was 42 the latest NHS HBA1C is 38 so hey ho, well chuffed :D

Many congratulations! I know you have put a huge amount of effort into making the necessary lifestyle changes to obtain that result and you should be incredibly proud of yourself as well as no doubt feeling physically and mentally better.
Massive WELL DONE from me!

I burst into tears it was such a relief cryhug_1_.gif

Oh well done @MAC2020 , that's so great! You worked hard to achieve that. Don't leave us though. Your jokes and funny sayings crack me up :D
Afraid your stuck with me I get so much from this forum I see it as just a break from the meds so maybe in time I will have to go back on them so not getting complacent I know things can change.

I'm the same. I don't want to get complacent. Too easily done. In the meantime celebrate!

That's a great HbA1c result. I know how that feels. The challenge now is to keep it there.

Well done.

Martin
Yes Martin I'm making no changes I'm happy Eating what I am at the moment never ever eaten so well so will be running on treadmill and keeping carbs down, 100g per day is working for me. I guess the best bit is that all this has no end so the changes are a new way of life not a temperary thing and that sits well in my mind, I don't feel deprived.

That is fantastic news! I am so pleased for you .

Such brilliant news @Maca44 - wish I had your DN!!! And please don't stop posting, I love your posts :D

What a fantastic achievement. Don’t stop posting, we’ll miss the craic!

An inspiration. Congratulations

GREAT ! but glad you're not going anywhere, your avatar alone has raised a smile from me since you first started. Same a @Flower 's does - very unusual in my life to see a gingerbread man with all his limbs intact !

What good news! And so encouraging for the rest of us. Well done, I'm really happy for you.

Great news, @Maca44, brilliant results! I felt the same too. I'm glad you're staying around too to keep up the good work and encourage us all
