Just back from my 2nd appointment with the lovely diabetic nurse, and I've nobody at home to boast to!
Since I saw her last (2 weeks ago today) I've lost 2.5kg and my results have gone from 9.2 to 5.8!!!🙂🙂
That's despite a weeks' holiday away where I didn't eat 'ideally' and had a few sherries too.
I'm absolutely chuffed to nuts. Obviously there's lots to be done, and there'll be ups and downs, but it's another small victory. Whilst I'm viewing this as a 'rest of life' situation, I'm trying to take comfort in the small victories and good days/weeks.
I'm still incapable and useless when it comes to finger pricking, but I'm not going to get worked up about it...it'll come. At the moment just listening to my body after I eat tells me some stuff. Chips on the seafront on holiday is something I'll never do again after the effect they had!!
Next challenge...bye bye white bread (my lifelong love and craving!)...
Hope everyone's ok, and here's to lots of 'good days' all round!
