Just back from my 2nd appointment with the lovely diabetic nurse, and I've nobody at home to boast to!

Since I saw her last (2 weeks ago today) I've lost 2.5kg and my results have gone from 9.2 to 5.8!!!🙂🙂

That's despite a weeks' holiday away where I didn't eat 'ideally' and had a few sherries too.

I'm absolutely chuffed to nuts. Obviously there's lots to be done, and there'll be ups and downs, but it's another small victory. Whilst I'm viewing this as a 'rest of life' situation, I'm trying to take comfort in the small victories and good days/weeks.

I'm still incapable and useless when it comes to finger pricking, but I'm not going to get worked up about it...it'll come. At the moment just listening to my body after I eat tells me some stuff. Chips on the seafront on holiday is something I'll never do again after the effect they had!!

Next challenge...bye bye white bread (my lifelong love and craving!)...

Hope everyone's ok, and here's to lots of 'good days' all round!

Jane x

Terrific news Jane! So pleased for you, and what an entertaining dance! 😉 :D It's really great when you have a good nurse and a boost to your confidence and motivation.

Well done twinkle excellent result.

PS shame I havent got a webcam/video cam or I could have shown you the version of that happy dance I've just done - the bum wiggling was unbelievable :D

Well Done Jane, I hope my results have come down that much when I next go. I've changed my whole diet and bought a cross trainer, I've dropped 2 dress sizes since April. 🙂

well done !!!:D
good luck with stopping the white bread ...me and my family did it by first changing to a bit of 'best of both' type...then some hovis granary...then the various multigrains and now are firmly fixed on vogal ...(many here also love the burgen.)... the family apart from me do occasionally enjoy a white 'tiger' loaf when we having soup or stew but TBH im not bothered anymore ...

Well done Jane! That's fantastic. Well done Becky too. Two dress sizes already! XXXXX

Jane another useful tip is when changing from white bread to brown, if your having a sandwich to start with having one slice of white and one brown that way you slowly transfer over to brown and then you don't miss white so much lol

Good luck and keep up the good work

Well done Twinkle, thats fantaastic news you are rightly chuffed to bits x

Well done Twinkle, no wonder you're doing a happy dance. What a difference it makes having someone like your wonderful diabetic nurse who offers you encouragement unlike so many others who seem to have the opposite effect.

I try and curb my bread intake to one slice a day and I'm still getting caught short from the effects. White bread is a no-no and hope you can wean yourself off it .

Donna 🙂
