Things have been going well, thanks! Blood sugar been mostly in the single digits.
Did have to have a brief stay in hospital when I had a (pancreatitis) flare-up because I couldn't keep my meds down so needed to be given them IV (mainly morphine and my epilepsy meds). Also, a nurse messed up and thought a doctor told her to give me 30 units of novorapid when he said 13. They actually resolved the subsequent hypo (she gave me the insulin in a regular needle, not an insulin pen, so I couldn't tell how much she gave me) VERY well. Did you know they can just give you IV glucose? It drips in super-rapidly and reverses the hypo in like 20-30 seconds. It was incredible; wish I could have something like that at home.
I also had an uncomfortable moment when two of the nurses asked if I drink or used to so I told them I don't drink at all now, I've been sober for several years, but I used to drink A LOT. And apparently they remembered me from back then and said (not in a mean way) that I'd often be very drunk and "difficult". I apologised profusely and said I was a completely different person then. They did congratulate me on being sober, but it's the first time I've met people again from back then that remember THAT me and I got so anxious because I have no memory of any of it or what I might have said or done.
Anyway, besides that hospital stay all has been good.
Sorry, this is probably a much longer reply than you wanted lol.
