Rad man. 😎

You get the finger pricker and the metre itself? Wouldn't mind one for work so I can keep it in my bag and not have to worry about packing it in the morning and bringing it home with me. Have two separate kits, including insulin. 😛

Hi, sorry i couldnt tell you if you can get the prickers - i just saw shelves of them all with a sign saying half price! I would imagine you can - best to check it yourself at your local branch of Boots. Good luck. Bev

The one i got from boots came with a pricker thing.

Yes I got a accu-chek nano and they complete with finger pricker case and two(2) lancet drums and 10 strips. Everything you need,

Donald

Will your chemist not lend you any until your script is ready? I always go to the same chemists , its five minutes away and opposite my doctors surgery. They know me so well now that I am always borrowing stuff , test strips , needles , Insulin lol !!! he he they just take it back from my script when i give it in to them . Obviously a diabetic customer is guaranteed money in the bank on a very regular basis !!!

I ran out of strips over the bank holiday weekend. My pharmacist looked on her computer and saw I have strips on repeat so she gave me a box and ordered the script for me.

Ask your pharmacist nicely and they should oblige if you are a regular customer.

mine messed up an order for me i had put the script in went back to get it but my strips had not arrived, she looked on the computer and said we only gave you 50 four weeks ago so the doctors did'nt expect you to run out she said how many times are you testing i said 2 she said ohh they assume you only test once a day so the 50 would cover you alot longer , i said looking rather puzzled so if they think im using 1 a day they must expect me to be havig no hypers/hypos or nothing lol , made me laugh i had to go 2 days without my regualr strips, i was only saved from having none at all for the fact i received a free meter in the post for entering a compitition, why on earth they never rang or told me when i put the script in i never know

Has the GP increased the amount on each prescription now? Did you ask the DSN how often you should be testing Steff?
