Less than 30 minutes left until polling stations close. Don't worry about polling card, as long as you know where to go. Please exercise your democratic right to vote or spoil your ballot paper.

I voted earlier this evening, I've always voted.

Voted for past 15 years always the same way to. I shake my head with disappointment as I'm the only 1 in household who does.

I voted a few days earlier, as I have a postal vote. I always study the last few results in whichever constituency I'm in - only moved to current one in 2013, after living in previous since 1999, with many other moves for education, training and work since turning 18. Only chose not to vote once, in local elections and referendum to have mayor in 1997/8, as I knew I wouldn't stay in London after graduating MSc. In fact, left to undertake research in Northern Ireland from May to September, submitted thesis by email and post and didn't even return for graduation ceremony. Returned to volunteer at Olympics and Paralympics, staying with an old friend.

I liked the public info ads that were on TV, to try and encourage folk to vote talking about 'The first time I did it'.

One chap said he did it in a scout hut, whilst his mum and dad were doing it in the next booth - and other such comments that could have double entendre.

Well - I did it in the local scout hut too, in the early evening after tea, but only with my mother in attendance at the time, since my dad had done it in the same location, on his own, before he went to work that morning. LOL I did it in the C of E church hall for years but now we have to go to infant school and since moving here, it's been the first place I haven't been able to walk to in a few minutes. Prior to that it was in the local library and if anything was more difficult as they didn't have any parking and it's all double yellows there being a 4 way junction with 2 mini roundabouts so you had to park wherever you could and then walk. At least the school has a few parking spaces - there again the 3 people 'manning' the station take up half the spaces for starters!
