Relationship to Diabetes
Other Type
Hi I am new here. I had gestational diabetes from being 26 yrs of age. I lost eight and a half stone in my late thirties, got struck off diabetes register at 40 yrs old, it had gone away. I am now 48 almost 49 yrs old. My problem is i feel so tired and drink so much water during the night at the moment i am also hungry alot now too. I have put a small amount of weight on i thought due to my job change as i work 2 night shifts per week now. I also feel quite shakey during the day as i do not eat alot. Would like your thought's please ? as i am worried my diabetes is coming back or has come back. thank you Nicci x

Hello @Nicci48 welcome to the forum.
After they took you off the diabetes register, did they not want to do an annual blood test just to keep an eye on things
The wisest thing for you to do is see your Gp. I like you recognise some of those symptoms as I am sure you do but their may be another cause other than diabetes , so is best to get them checked out.

Please let us know how you get on.

I would echo what Ljc said. You need to see your GP and possibly have a blood test. Something clearly isn’t right.
