Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Was in work for 6am this morning woke up at 4.45, had breakfast had jab so i wouldn't go low as i didn't finish till 10.
About half 8 i all of sudden went dizzy really hot and sweaty and i could barely walk had to be helped upstairs was ridiculous, checked my levels they were at 8.3 so i was fine.
this had never ever happened to me, it really scared me been feeling strange all day :/
any ideas?

That is a strange one Estella  Either the problem was unrelated to your diabetes or you had a sudden fast drop in levels - probably still falling when you tested at 8.3, so although you weren't hypo at that stage you may still have got the symptoms.

Alternatively, it might have been a drop in blood pressure. Did you treat it with anything or just sit and recover?

i had a glass of water and just sat, looked in the mirror and i looked paler than ever, i always have rosy cheeks and they weren't even rosy it was scary.

Sounds more like your conventional faint than diabetes-related - has happened to me once or twice before I was diagnosed. Had you been standing for a long time?

been doing lots of moving about since 6 so i spose so and its really hot in next :/

I once worked in a shop, it's hard work! I hope that you feel better tomorrow and that it doesn't happen again for a very long time (if ever! 🙂)

I have had a few experiences that where similar. It feels like hypo, blood test fine, 3 different meters. Room temp hot & is probably "dehydration" 🙂

I hope that you are feeling better today

I hope you are feeling better. It may be you have a virus working on you, there seem to be a lot going round.

Sounds like a combination of one or more of the following factors: hot air temperature, being on feet for long period, dehydration, perhaps a virus eg cold or similar.

Anyway, try a bit of fresh air, sitting down, drinking fluids, or as many of those as is possible at work, and hope you're feeling better soon. Better that than reading a screen / typing 🙂
